Have you wondered what it was like to tag along for a staging? We decided to give you a sneak peek on a staging we did yesterday. This clip only shows the progression of the staging within a 2.5 hour span and does not include the design plan, the pulling of inventory, the packing... and then the unpacking back at the warehouse.
So sit down, grab an iced tea and enjoy. We will be doing a series of these and yes, I do need to practice walking smoothly ;))

How cool! That took 2 1/2 hours? That's incredible because I would have been there all day! It's very pretty and you did an excellent job!
Hi Lori,
Very nice presentation. Have a great day.
LKP: Thanks for bringing us along on your staging job! Ryan reminds me of Pat, my brother-in-law, who helps me on the bigger jobs. Fun, smart, on the ball! Here's a tip: a clean swiffer will make the microsude look smooth and untouched. Julie
Lori - Fun idea. Maybe next time someone else could tape and you could get in the spotlight? Beautiful staging too.
Lori, I am so glad you did this! I hired a professional to do this for me but he is pricey and is booked for a month. May I can do it myself! ?? I'd probably be worse then you though, bouncing the camera all over and making people sick. Very nice job!
How fun Lori to see your staging in progress! Ryan must be a lot of fun to work with -- I like his zany sense of humor!
LaNita... thanks for stopping by. Remember, we have 2 movers plus Ryan and I. So the time is cut in half ;)
Patrick... thank you for the compliment. We just got that camcorder.
Julia... hey there girl! Thanks for the swiffer tip, I will do that. Yes, Ryan is the life of the party when staging. We have fun.
Shelley... I think Ryan will do it next time... maybe he will walk smoother than me ;)
Shar... YOU CAN DO IT!!! I know that you can. We just got that camcorder the day before and didn't practice before shooting it at the staging, but when I saw it later.. I thought it turned out fairly well. Next time will be better ;)
Maureen... How are you my friend? Zany is a great way to describe Ryan's humor. We have too much fun staging.. sometimes it takes us longer because we were playing around too much or dancing to the radio. We lock the door all the time ;) We just did 5 homes in 7 days...ahhhhh!
Lori - I loved your video. Is your inventory your own or from Brook? Beautiful staging work. I don't have a Ryan but a Brian and I swear he's the only thing that keeps me sane with some of the difficult jobs we've had lately. It helps to laugh when you want to tear your hair out (or say some things you shouldn't to a client.)
Lori Kim-love your video and it is not that bouncey at all!! I have a swiffer and never thought to use it on the sofas. :) I love AR!!
Lori - this was so much fun to watch. Felt like I was in the room with you! Very much enjoyed the "Ryan" show. I love it when he asks you if you're trying to be professional, then goes all goofy! Yes, I will look forward to the next installment, the "Lori" show.
Lynn... Almost of of the furniture that you see in the clip is ours. The master bedroom we had to rent and the coffee table and side table in the livingroom we rented. We don't rent through Brook, they too are pricey.
Cathy Lee... Well thank you. I am going to "stroll" next time. I think the swiffer idea is great too!
Kathy.. that was the main premis of the video... to show real life staging. We have several more planned, so stay tuned ;)
Sally... We have a lot of fun staging. Isn't that what its all about? If you are not having fun, then why do it?
Lori: I really enjoyed your video and seeing you work on one of your homes. Glad to see you are so busy too. What did you use to create your video? A Flip?
Lori,
Ryan is a riot! I love when he approaches the camera and blows you a kiss : ) How great to have a staging partner that is so much fun to work with! I too always stage to music. My iPod is fully loaded and I found it helps me stay in a good mood no matter what and makes me move a lot faster.
I thoroughly enjoy your posts. Thank you for bringing us along and I am looking forward to your next video! All the best,
~Claudia
Michelle... Yes, it is a Flip. I got the HD one. I just bought it the day before. My Cannon Elph takes pretty good video, but not in High Def.
Claudia... Hey there girl! Who knows what our next one will be. I am thinking warehouse/packing prep. Ryan is a silly guy and a lot of fun to work with ;)
Kathleen... Yes, we love THAT part of the staging. Isn't it the best part? Unfortunately, THAT is about 1/3 of the whole job.;))
Lori, this is a kick. Information and fun. After spending a couple of days with Maureen and helping her with a staging, I'm wishing that I had a partner to add some joy to my staging days. Thanks for sharing this.
Hey there Ginger... I just can't imagine doing all this alone again. Working with a partner gives you dbl results. Yes, we split each staging but we have more than twice as many now. Double the exposure and double the fun ;)
Thanks Lori for letting us follow your staging. What a great idea.
You made it look too easy!! Beautiful job.
Thank you Wanda and Kim for stopping by. I know you girls are busy lil' bees!
What fun! And a great way to show your work.
Thanks for sharing Lori... it must be fun to have someone to share the load with. You guys are lucky to have made it work for you. I thought you did a great job with your new cam. Have thought about getting a Flip myself. Still haven't tried out the video on my iPhone. Hmmmm....
Lori, Enjoyed the video. You have great taste. Watch out HGTV. You have competition.
Judi... Thank you. We love what we do and have fun too!
Tessa... I just could not imagine doing this much volume without Ryan. He and I have have the same work ethic, which I am thankful for. I have used my iPhone but the Flip is so easy, it is in HD and comes with its own editing program... I couldn't resist.
Linda... I don't think we are ready for TV... but we sure will practice ;))
I watched on FaceBook and think this is a fabulous tool LKP! I wish I had seen you in it though! Make Ryan video tape you next time =)
Very fun, Lori! I am already looking forward to Chapter 2!
Lori, this is great! And you are definitely ahead of the curve with your video diaries. Love it!
Lori,
You ROCK!!!! Thanks for shring your down to earth and wonderful video!
Marianne
Karen... we had a lot of fun doing it, altho I had to keep Ryan inline and start over a couple of times. No worries, I will be in the next one for sure ;) Be well my wonderful Texas sistah ;)
Diana... We still have a couple more inserts into Chapter 1. Chapter 2 is set up a bit different ;) Thanks for stopping by.
Patsy... Thank you for stopping by. We will be doing more of these for sure.
Marianne... It was definately candid. I had just purchased the Flip the night before and practiced on my dogs and my grandson. The next one should be better, especially with my bumpy walking ;))
