Maybe you think you have tried everything!
I am really sorry but, it is hard to listen to negativity in this market. Don't get me wrong... I have my down time too, but come on everyone... this has happened before so deal with it! I am sure that you have thought of ways that you can be creative, you have thought of ways that you can help clients from foreclosure and, you have thought of ways that you can help Realtors get some of these houses SOLD. Have you really thought of ways that YOU can differentiate and keep afloat. Have you thought about looking for your perfect customers? What is a perfect customer for you?
A while back I read the most interesting book: "Attracting Perfect Customers, The Power of Strategic Synchronicity". It is written by Stacey Hall and Jan Brogniez.
I highly recommend this book to add to your library. If business was slow this year, then use this time to review what you are really looking for in a client, set goals for next year. Next month is the start of a new year... go, go, go.
What are you waiting for... get going on a plan now, manifest who your perfect client is and have a fabulous 2011!

LKP, I don't even know what that "perfect" client would look like, unless it was someone long-distance that wanted a complete redo of their house AND gave me their wallet. HA.....undoubtedly even that client wouldn't be perfect. Happy New Year. See you in Vegas?

Maureen... hey my northern buddy! Optimism and self assurance will win everytime, but many people need to work at it, especially in this market. We all have hurdles to jump over, problems to solve, and long stretches of downer times. The ones that pick themselves up, push on through the skinned knees with a smile, and continue to the finish line are the ones who will survive. See you soon ;)

Hi Lori, they used to call that "stinkin thinkin". I stay away from those people, they are not in my circle of success. I work with trades that are passionate about what they do, suppliers that make sure the delivery is made even if the owner of the company has to deliver it themselves and Realtors that lend inventory from their own home if the seller is on a limited budget. It all adds up to attracting the right clients. Once you have provided outstanding service to one person they refer other people just like them.
I will look for the book you suggest, always up for a good read.
I need to get the book-love knowing about it, I am just finishing a really good one-The Four Agreements.
